Christmas Casual Sales Assistant

Location: Better with Friends 209A Sydney Road, Brunswick
Start date: ASAP
Availability: Must be available over Christmas, New Year, and through to the end of February. Essential days are Monday, Tuesday and Saturdays with occasional Sundays.

At Better with Friends, we believe shopping should feel relaxed, genuine and fun. Our store is filled with beautiful things we love (and think you will too), from gifts and jewellery, homewares and apparel. We’re looking for friendly faces to join our team over the busy holiday season.

The Role

We’re looking for a Christmas Casual Sales Assistant to help us spread good vibes and great service in-store. You’ll be the friendly face that greets our customers, helps them find the perfect gift, and keeps our shop looking gorgeous during the festive rush. Availability on Saturdays, Monday and Tuesday are essential, occasional Sundays may be required. 

What You’ll Be Doing

• Welcoming customers and making them feel right at home

• Providing helpful, genuine service and product advice

• Assisting with sales, stock, restocking, and visual merchandising

• Keeping the store tidy and organised

• Helping process sales at the counter and online orders when needed

• Opening and closing the store 

About You

You’re friendly, approachable and love connecting with people. You’ve worked in retail before, so you know how to handle the Christmas chaos with a smile. You’ve got great attention to detail and can jump in wherever needed.

You’ll also have:

• Previous retail or customer service experience

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Flexible availability, including weekends and weekdays 

• Commitment to work through the Christmas and New Year period and ideally until end of February. Possibility to stay on further for the right candidate.
